Geneva is a truly breath-taking city and is set in the beautiful location of the Alps, affording a 360-degree mountain.
The climate of Geneva as would be expected with any city set within the alps is cooler, the temperature during the coolest winter month is on average around -1ºC. During the warmer summer months, the temperature for the warmest is on average around 24ºC.

This fountain jets a blast of water up to 140 meters high and has been situated in its present location for more than 125 years. The fountain operates throughout the year but during extreme frost is switched off. The traveller is advised to stand upwind from the fountain when viewing it.

One of the other main tourist destination is the Place des Nations and has been described as the heart of Geneva. At this location is the Broken chair which was designed by Daniel Berset a local Geneva artist. The Broken chair is to symbolise the fight against anti-personnel mines.

Another popular traveller destination is the Brunswick Monument. This is a mausoleum built for Charles 2nd Duke of Brunswick who left all his wealth to the city of Geneva when he passed away in 1873
