Bournemouth Airport has been ranked among the best airports in the UK in the annual passenger survey by consumer champion Which?
The airport, which marks its 85th birthday this year, achieved a customer score of 76%, placing it sixth in the national table and ahead of many of the UK’s largest airports.
Bournemouth is one of three airports owned and operated by Regional & City Airports (RCA) to be ranked in the UK’s top six for the second year running, with sister airports Exeter Airport first and Norwich Airport fourth.
The Which? survey asked more than 6,000 passengers about 8,383 airport visits made during the previous 12 months, rating their experience across areas including customer service, check-in and security queues, passport control, baggage reclaim, seating, food and drink and cleanliness.
Bournemouth scored five stars – the maximum possible – for both check-in and security queues, as well as four stars for customer service, baggage reclaim and cleanliness.

“We’ve seen significant growth at Bournemouth and have invested heavily in our facilities to accommodate that, but throughout that growth we have remained focused on making the passenger experience as straightforward and welcoming as possible.
“To have Bournemouth, Exeter and Norwich all ranked in the UK’s top six for a second consecutive year is also a great result for Regional & City Airports and reflects the hard work of the teams across all three airports.”
The latest recognition comes after Bournemouth Airport welcomed a record 1,395,783 passengers in the year to March 2026, an increase of 26% on the previous year.
The airport has continued to invest in its facilities as passenger numbers have grown, including a new immigration and arrivals hall, expanded baggage reclaim and check-in facilities, improvements to outbound baggage handling and an additional car parking spaces.
