New - Olympic Holidays To Crete
Olympic Holidays has just launched a new weekly service to Crete for Summer 2007– giving holiday makers the chance to savour the delights of the largest of the Greek Islands.
Crete possesses a landscape so diverse and enchanting that no description is likely to do it justice. From its beautiful golden beaches, crystal clear waters, rugged mountains and breathtaking scenery, this island is just waiting to be explored. It holds an abundance of fascinating history, being the birthplace of Zeus, father of all Greek gods and the Minoan Empire where the legend of the Minotaur has its origins.
The island offers cities with layers of at least 4000 years of continuous inhabitation, including the vibrant heritage of centuries of Orthodox Christianity and the distinctive imprint left by almost 700 years of Venetian and Turkish rule.
Peter Duffy, Managing Director of Bournemouth Airport said:
“Olympic Holidays is a company that has been known and trusted throughout the UK for 40 years and we are delighted that they have decided to offer flights from Bournemouth to Heraklion next summer. Crete is always one of our most requested holiday destinations and we look forward to welcoming Olympic Holidays’ customers to the airport.”
Olympic Holidays will be offering a wide range of accommodation throughout the island to suit every budget - from luxurious 5 star hotels to simple, but comfortable self-catering apartments. A flight only option will also be available. Flights to Heraklion will operate every Tuesday between 15th May and 30th October, departing from Bournemouth at 09.55 hrs.
