Take to the sky with bus website
To celebrate the launch of the Bournemouth Airport Shuttle Service from West Cliff, The Square, East Cliff and the Travel Interchange, direct to Bournemouth Airport, a new website (www.bournemouth-airport-shuttle.co.uk) is being launched to allow passengers up to the minute information on the transport routes, fares and timetables to and from Bournemouth Airport.
Visitors to the site can also find links to tourist attractions, providing valuable information for inbound tourists visiting the region.
Bournemouth Airport Transport Manager, Colleen Hempson said “An increasing number of our passengers are using the internet to look for and to book their holidays so Discover Dorset’s new website is a welcome addition for our passengers as they will be able to obtain timetables and fare information at a click of a button.”
In partnership with Discover Dorset, the new route will commence on Wednesday 7th November with a brand new environment- and passenger-friendly Optare Versa bus.
The bus will be on show in Falkland Square in Poole on the 27th October and in The Square in Bournemouth on the 3rd November with fun for all the family including face painting and time table information as well as the opportunity to see the bus.
Discover Dorset’s Managing Director, Tim Sanders said “We are very excited about the new route starting on the 7th November as it will provide passengers with a direct regular service between the airport and Bournemouth, linking in with other local services to Poole, Christchurch and the wider region. The website provides full details of the service and also a ‘Which bus stop serves my hotel?’ feature to assist and encourage inbound visitors to use the service.”
