About Us and Our Group

Bournemouth Airport

Bournemouth Airport is a key national and international gateway to Southern England, annually serving around 800,000 passengers and 45 destinations.

Nominated for a British Travel Award in 2010, we have recently undergone a £45m investment in our terminal, providing air travellers to and from the South Coast region of England with a new and greatly improved passenger experience. TUI and Thomas Cook both have significant operations at the airport which now employs 500 people and contributes more than £18 million to the local economy.

On current projections, around 3 million passengers will be travelling through Bournemouth Airport every year by 2014/15. The airport’s potential will make a major contribution to the future prosperity of the wider Dorset and Hampshire economy. Our Master Plan to 2030 describes how the positive and negative impacts of growth can best be managed.

The Manchester Airports Group (MAG) is the UK’s largest British-owned airport operator. Our four airports - Manchester, East Midlands, Bournemouth and Humberside – currently serve a total of more than 24 million passengers every year.

We also run thriving businesses in property development and management, car parking, airport security, fire fighting, engineering, advertising and motor transport.

We support the UK Government's commitment to the principles of sustainable development in the aviation industry, striking a balance between economic, social and environmental considerations.

Regional airports. National impact.

We’re more than just a regional success story. As the largest British-owned airport operator, we play a major role in UK aviation, contributing £3.2 billion to the UK economy and supporting over 130,000 jobs. According to independent analysis, our businesses could grow still further to generate £6.3 billion in value and support 260,000 jobs by 2015.
